I have been taking groups of students from SCAD to exhibit at the Digital Graffiti exhibition at Alys Beach, Florida for number of years – working on a series of  roadside structures called the Butteries.

These tower structures flank the road at the edges of the town, and are visible to passing traffic on the 30A highway.

Each tower is mapped by layer and media – produced earlier- is conformed to the physical structure onsite. Mapped displays are loaded onto MiniMad media players.

To date SCAD has produced almost 100 different works for the towers, and this has led to professional careers in this area for many of the students involved.
