I learnt to cut on film and to animate using rostrum cameras – so in the broadest sense, I look at the term “film” to indicate narrative work more than a description of the shooting medium, even though I have been also working with digital since the mid 1980s.

Over the years I have worked on many purely narrative works – in production and crew capacities, from camera and even location sound to all aspects of post production and media design. Since 2005 I have concentrated exclusively on online distribution and public space works, as these are the most creative and dynamic opportunities to work consistently and in small collaborative teams.

The greatest shift in media is the democratization of production and distribution. I am passionate about helping new voices establish themselves with an eye to the past and view of the possibilities of the future.
