I watch people make images for spaces, domes, walls, buildings. Larger than themselves.

Abstraction is their natural mode – not by affordance but by sheer statistical evidence. The image as representation is lost to affective ambience.

This is not an evasion of images-in-the-world. It is a welcome response to these images.

A respite from advertising, From billboards. From Instagram. The attention economy makes persistent demands for payment or investment or trade.

Enough.
